Knit Toddler Dinosaur Hat

For Halloween this year I decided to knit a dinosaur hat for my toddler because he's been really interested in dinosaurs lately. I made one for both of my sons (infant hat pattern will be available later) because I think it's adorable when siblings have coordinating costumes. I searched Ravelry and found some great patterns but they either didn't use the yarn weight that I had, didn't have multiple sizes, or were a bit too detailed for the time I had. I knew I could make the spikes so I decided to make a regular hat and add the spikes. I think it turned out pretty cute ferocious ;) Here's the pattern: Materials You Will Need: Green worsted weight yarn (sorry, I don't keep track of yardage)- I used Red Heart Super Saver, Light Sage White worsted weight yarn- I used Red Heart Super Saver, White Size 7 circular needle Size 7 double pointed needles 1 stitch marker 1 tapestry needle Abbreviations Used: K- Knit P- Purl K2tog- Knit 2 stit

What a Lovely Surprise!

I was happily surprised when I checked my e-mail and saw that I had been nominated for the Liebster Award by Lenetta Carnes . I was glad to see that she enjoyed my Persi-nnamon Bread recipe. I know my blog is not visited too often but I’m glad to get comments and especially to have a nomination for this award. Knit Baby Dino Hat

As promised I am going to share the pattern for the dino hat I knit for my youngest son. I used the same materials but just made it smaller. My youngest was almost 5 months when I made it but he has a big head. This should fit him for a while longer. This pattern is very similar to the toddler hat. *Sorry for the horrible pictures that follow...it was hard to take a decent picture while wearing him* Materials You Will Need: Green worsted weight yarn (again, no yardage info): I used Red Heart Super Saver-Light Sage White worsted weight yarn: I used Red Heart Super Saver, White Size 7 circular needle Size 7 double pointed needles 1 stitch marker 1 tapestry needle Abbreviations Used: K- Knit P- Purl K2tog- Knit 2 stitches together to decrease DPNs- Double pointed needles sts- stitches st- stitch For main hat With green yarn (or main color of choice) and size 7 circular needles cast on 70 stitches.
